The Component That Generates the Power
Inside every alternator, the stator is where electricity is actually made: fixed copper windings around the iron core, cutting the rotating magnetic field of the rotor. When stator insulation fails or windings burn, the alternator stops charging – and the whole electrical system lives off the battery until it dies.
Our AVI144 stator coil is wound for the Prestolite AVI144 alternator platform in both 12V and 24V versions, using 99.9% oxygen-free copper wire with multi-layer insulation and epoxy resin encapsulation for vibration resistance. It is the direct rebuild component that returns a failed alternator to full output.
