How the Magnetic Clutch Works
The electromagnetic clutch is the on/off switch between the engine belt and the compressor. Energise the coil, and the armature plate is pulled against the rotating pulley – drive engaged. De-energise it, and a spring gap reopens, freewheeling the pulley while the compressor stops.
The 260-210 2A2B is a 24V 60W clutch set comprising the three functional elements: armature plate, pulley (2A2B dual V-groove) and field coil. '260-210' identifies the plate/pulley diameter combination; 2A2B is the dual-groove belt configuration used on 4-cylinder bus compressors such as the BOCK FK40, Bitzer F400 and TM series.
