Why Refrigeration Needs an Oil Separator
In transport refrigeration, oil is the compressor's lifeblood – but oil that leaves with the discharge gas is oil the compressor no longer has. The oil separator captures lubricant entrained in the hot discharge gas and returns it to the compressor crankcase, keeping oil level stable through hours of highway duty.
