1. Load Calculation for 11–12 m Buses
An 11–12 m coach at full load in summer carries a thermal load in the 28–36 kW range depending on glazing and occupancy. The WL32LY is selected at 32 kW (109,184 BTU) — above the mid-point of the band, so it holds target temperature at design load without running continuously at maximum duty.

3. Airflow Matching — 6,400 m³/h
Capacity means nothing if the air does not reach the passengers. Eight ZHF283502 blowers move 6,400 m³/h through the copper-tube evaporator — roughly 200 m³/h per passenger at 32 seats, with reserve for solar gain. This is the airflow figure engineers should check first when upgrading a 24 kW-class unit.

4. Drive Train Sizing
The FKX40-650K compressor (650 cc) is matched with a 2B/2A clutch and SPB belt, driven with a 150 A Prestolite alternator to hold 24V system voltage under full electrical load — the configuration list a spec engineer needs for alternator and belt-pulley compatibility checks.
