High static pressure fan drives the air conditioning system of new energy buses for efficient heat dissipation

In the field of new energy buses (pure electric and hybrid), in-vehicle air conditioning systems are widely used due to their high space utilization and the fact that they do not occupy the luggage compartment space. The condenser of the air conditioner requires a high-efficiency fan for forced convection cooling, especially during hot summer days and when the vehicle is idling for passengers. The 12-inch brushless DC fan (model LNF 2201Q7 24V) provided by us for a well-known bus manufacturer has become the standard configuration for the air conditioning assembly of its main models due to its high performance.

The maximum rotational speed of this fan reaches 2800 ± 200 rpm. Under a test voltage of 27V, it can provide a huge airflow of over 1910 cubic meters per hour at a static pressure of 240 mmH2O. This means it can effectively overcome the wind resistance caused by the dense fins of the condenser, and ensure that the refrigerant fully condenses even in a 45℃ hot weather, thus guaranteeing the refrigeration efficiency of the entire air conditioning system. Its noise level of 78 decibels has been optimized and performs well in the ambient noise outside the vehicle.

The fan is equipped with an IP34 protection level, which can effectively prevent rainwater and splashing from the road from entering, and is suitable for the exposed environment of the vehicle roof. With a design lifespan of up to 5,000 hours, it matches the high operational intensity of buses and reduces maintenance requirements. By integrating this fan, the overall energy efficiency ratio (COP) of the bus air conditioning system has increased by approximately 12%, which means longer air conditioning operation mileage for electric buses that rely on battery power.
